Twilight Saga New Moon Movie

The movie made more then the first one it's opening weekend. Fans had mixed feelings about the casting of the other characters. I thought Michael Sheen as Aro was a very good choice.

I was upset to see the werewolves were CGI and not puppets. Thou they were frightening when they first appeared on the screen. Kudos on the scarewear.

I happened to go on a night when Team Jacob was out in full force. A mob of screaming girls all there for their lead werewolf. I was enjoying this movie. The fact the werewolf story seems to be a solidly written one is a good thing. Rarely are werewolves given a history beyond the lead character, and giving this saga not just a lead wolf but a whole pack with a rich history had me happy.

I can't wait to see the next one in this saga. Eclipse really lets the werewolves shine.

Return of the Cigarette Mom

Was out yesterday and once again Cigarette Mom was outside of the store on a break. She's the one who started calling the Frilly Pinks Sugarbabies. I wrote about that adventure here
Okay so I was listening in on her conversation sue me.
Cigarette Mom was outside on her break yesterday as I was coming out of the store carrying a bag of groceries and listening to an old neighbour of mine bitch on about her new apartment.
Spotting Cigarette Mom less then two feet away on her cell phone, I of course was more interested in what she had to say then the conversation I was actually part of.
She was yelling into her cell phone at her little Sugarbaby. It seems her precious little daughter had gotten a round of new holes stabbed into her tongue and ears. Cigarette Mom seemed calm when she replied into the cell phone that was great a new place to attach the f**king chain that connects to her boyfriend as they were already joined at the hip.
I didn't hear the rest of her conversation as the lady I was actually talking to started to raise her voice.

Respect

Ardeth Blood is upset again. She's been working at the whole vampire genre for nearly 25 years and still feels like she's not getting any respect.
I understand. It was a tough gig before the internet and now it's just a massive wave of flotsam.
She's been hacking away on her vampire blog for three years Alucard's Rose as well as working on her all vampire site Fist Full of Garlic for almost two years.

What does this matter to me as I am another blogger trying to bring traffic to myself, well I have to work with her. Would rather work with her happy then upset.

Hence her vampire challenge. Now people, I understand that most of you are used to having prizes at the end of a challenge, but it's her first one. Give the woman a break. Please for my god damned sanity.

I just got off the phone with her and she is feeling so rejected right now. All the book bloggers that she has been seeing, and it's her circle on the net, have been up for as little as 4 months or less and most are run by teenagers. It's gotten under her skin in a deep way. Again, I understand. If my colleges and competition were younger then my shoes and their ratings were up more then mine, I'd be slighted as well.

No Title

Nothing cute, nothing witty, just realized I haven't posted on here in a month.
Ardeth is having a freak out because the show is not up yet for her to do her review. I have never seen someone so addicted to a tv show before.
It's kinda funny.

What am I talking about, well Blind Tag Blog of course. Ardeth does a weekly review for TNA Impact.
I blog on there too. Sometimes, when I am poked and bugged and nic picked. Can't even remember what articles I have done for it.

So the rest of the team are doing an all Vampire Challenge. A themed book/movie meme. Great guys, let me know when you are doing the werewolves and I will be hot on your tail.
I am actually looking forward to New Moon when it comes out next month. Not only is it the start of the werewolves in the Twilight Saga, it's got one very hot British actor. Michael Sheen.
We all remember him as Lucian in the Underworld movies.
He's made a name for himself in horror/thrillers as a Werewolf, let's see how he does as a Vampire. He will be playing Aros, one of the vampire leaders.

Finally, some credibility to the Twilight muck.

Benicio Del Toro's Wolfman

http://www.thewolfmanmovie.com/

I am very much on needles and pins waiting for this one! It was slated to open for hallowe'en, then got pushed to May 2010, then got dropped back to Dec 25th 2009, then got pushed again to Feb 2010, then dropped back to middle of Nov, then as of a July 28 interview (as reported at the ComicCon on L.A. Times online) it was shifted once more to Feb 12 2010. Well, if you see in our events on here it's listed now for Nov 6th 2009.

There was a preview for it during trailers of Julie and Julia with a release date of Nov 6th.

The shuffling of this film is due to the second installment of the Twilight Saga -New Moon. The movie companies are in fear of their Universal remake being overshadowed by the werewolves of the Twilight kind.

Okay, yeah box office number wise I understand, if you are going for screen time and money only. The fans are two very different types of people.

General wolf fans like myself have been chomping it to bits since we heard about this new remake two years ago. The fact Sir Anthony Hopkins is in this one puts it head and shoulders above some of the recent werewolf tracks that have been released. So many of us are hoping Sir Anthony Hopkins will do for the Wolfman what he did for Bram Stoker's Dracula almost two decades ago. Give it back the respect and creepiness it used to have in the early days of film.

I posted this on my profile over on Disturbia too.
